Bloggers Day
Bonjour! A new day, a new start, and here’s something new for all you guys to ponder upon. Today, we are going to have a talk on how bloggers are redefining marketing and creating a trend out here in the marketing world.
The word “Marketing” might sound Greek and Latin to few, for some you might not know the fundamentals of it. But do you know almost all of us are marketers in some way or other? We all wish to get noticed by our friends when we wear new clothing, isn’t it right? Then we do recommend the shop, the price, promote the price, sometimes even the courteous salesperson there! Unknowingly you are marketing it! This is something that has become part and parcel of our daily life. What was physical has now become phygital, yes things have now moved into the digital world.
Marketing is very important in business to make any product known to the public hence increasing sales. Earlier it was done mostly through News Paper advertisements, Television & Radio Media, Posters, and the aid of Brand Ambassadors, and so on. Nowadays with the increase in competition and customer expectations, marketing is also undergoing transformation to a new level and scale. With people having wider choices to choose from each passing sunset, Marketers have a tough job to ensure that their product prints a significant mark in the minds of their customers.
Bloggers are said to be people who write their own valuable content but in reality, they do much more than just that. They are starting to take over the e-marketing industry. Blogging which was once only writing is now getting evolved. People who are passionate and work on photography, art are also bloggers and they reach great audiences too with their content which aids marketing in a big way. Internet & Social Media has enabled global reach and platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, etc. have paved way for a blogger to take their content to a global platform. They have practically become social bees creating a huge fan base for their work. There has also been an increase in the number of blogging sites with the number of users increasing dramatically.
Today’s young generation and tomorrow’s nation are shopping through e-commerce and are demanding a full packaged digital experience. Their buying decisions are largely getting influenced by the opinions of bloggers and influencers before buying any product. Though a Blogger is different from an influencer a blogger can definitely become an influencer, influencing a person’s decisions in buying a product hence playing a crucial role in marketing.
Bloggers build content that interests people thereby increasing the substantial amount of traffic to their sites. They direct the view of people in the way they want it to be directed while making it seem as if it’s not plain advertising. They share different case studies, opinions of different people and altogether build trust in the minds of the consumers while establishing an authority for themselves which is the key to marketing. A Blogger always makes sure that he delivers highly impactful content, which could rekindle and redefine the way a product or a service is looked upon, establishing a new trend. Presently, a lot of bloggers have a huge number of followers on their websites or social media who give great value to their opinions and content. This new trend is currently spreading like a forest that caught fire. So influencers having a huge fan base are asked to promote products of different companies as they reach a greater number in a short period of time. The kind of reach bloggers have currently is massive and their influence is higher than any other form of marketing making a huge change.
A brand always has its own value. In the same way, bloggers are considered as a brand themselves giving higher value for businesses. Thus, all this has made the top brands invest in the topmost influencers and bloggers and move away from the traditional campaigns and advertisements to market their products, which makes more sense during these sensitive times, hence redefining marketing.
This is the beginning of a new era in the marketing industry.
