As a social media marketing agency, Sauce Media Group offer a variety of different services. These range from social media management, creative direction, consulting, influencer management, etc.
Obviously, these are the main points of the business and sales funnels for Sauce. They bring in the majority of the money and take up the most time. BUT, we are also an agency that thrives on community building and education for not only our clients, but the people who follow us or want to also do what we do.
As social media managers, creative directors and influencer managers we also once were just starting out. We didn’t know what we were doing! We were (and still are) learning and navigating the business world. And it can be tricky. We wish we had more tools and a place to discuss the most successful strategies in the social world when we were getting started.
We have recognized that part of our sales funnel can include an education piece with our target audience. Our target audience is often full of people who most likely won’t be taking us on to manage their partnerships as an influencer or to run their social media account. That’s because they are just getting started with their business, brand or social media journey.
As part of our sales funnel and to get our audience on social involved, we started launching digital products, PDF guides, trainings, and workshops to help people start navigating the world of social and business. These informational pieces are chalk full of information on how to tap into the industry, mistakes to avoid, tips & tricks, etc.
Most recently, we launched a crash course called “You’re Doing Great Sweetie”. The course is a digital guide aimed towards influencers and brands. For influencers we created a guide that takes you through the steps to landing brand deals you love. For brands, the guide helps take you through the process of creating successful influencer campaigns.
Influencer partnerships are an extremely important aspect of marketing for both sides. Yet, there aren’t many tools out there that talk about the process! And most importantly, tools giving tips on how to be as successful as possible and make money doing it.
We tapped into this lack of knowledge by offering the course for a fee and then hosting free workshops throughout the week. These ranged from going over everything no one tells you when starting out influencing or creating campaigns, how to make money, how to create beautiful brand guides/campaign briefs and helpful tips on how the process works.
This course was beneficial for Sauce because we could make money, but also because we offered something of value to our community and target audience. In addition, we also elevate our brand awareness by offering products to those that may not yet be able to take us on as clients.
In the future, they may be able to! When that happens, they are already aware of Sauce and can look to us as the go-to for all things business and social media related. By looking ahead, we are creating a pipeline for future clients while also offering our expertise and education now. It’s a win, win.
